FLORENCE, S.C. (AP) — Pecan lovers are taking over downtown Florence for the 12th annual South Carolina Pecan Festival.
Saturday’s event runs from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and features more than 250 food and craft vendors, rides for children and other amusements, a pecan cook-off and multiple music performances.
Also included are a half-marathon race and several other short-distance runs and walks.
Admission is free. There are park-and-ride services available from several local shopping malls and the Florence Airport.
The festival is sponsored by the Florence Downtown Development Corporation and the City of Florence.
