Celebrating Black History: Forgotten artists of Savannah

SAVANNAH, GA. (WSAV) — William O. Golding was kidnapped from the Savannah waterfront in the late 1800s. He was 8-years old at the time. Golding, better known as “Deep Sea,” would travel the world. He recorded his travels through maritime drawings, and he was a self-taught artist.

Another significant forgotten artist from Savannah is William Gray.
