Community Corner: Georgia Southern president talks merger, new era in education

A new era is about to begin. Come January 2018, Armstrong State and Georgia Southern will merge to create the fourth largest university in the state — with a combined enrollment of roughly 27,000 students.

What does this consolidation mean for our area and our economy? Georgia Southern President Dr. Jaimie Hebert shed some light on the process.
