Friday Night Blitz: GHSA Round 2 & a big win for Memorial Day

Memorial Day claims the GISA Championship with a shutout over Robert Toombs Christian.

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) — Last Friday was cut-down-day in Georgia, but we saw a lot of local teams survive that first round.

Keeping with that momentum, tonight was also largely successful. It was a huge day for the Blue Thunder as they brought home a 6th GISA State Championship for Memorial Day.

Next week, Benedictine, Jenkins & Liberty County will be playing at home, but we’ll bring you further details on where/when later this week.
