Update: Police search for men involved in Northwoods Mall shooting

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WSAV) — North Charleston police are looking for two men involved in a shooting at Northwoods Mall.

Police say the men opened fire just before 5:30 p.m. Monday night after an argument in a store.

“We heard gunshots firing, people running, stampeding, glass shattering,” one witness told WCBD News 2. “It’s been the worst thing I’ve ever experienced.”

According to the Post & Courier, gunshots were fired but there are no injuries reported.

North Charleston Police and Fire Departments, the Charleston County Sheriff’s Office, and EMS crews responded to the scene. At least one helicopter could be seen overhead near the mall.

Officers were still on scene clearing the area at 6:30 p.m.
