PUTNAM COUNTY, Ga. (WSAV) – The escaped inmates accused of fatally shooting two corrections officers in Putnam County appeared in Putnam County Court court today, June 21, after being extradited back to Georgia from Tennessee.

The judge denied bond to the pair and an attorney for the state expressed interest in filing paperwork to seek the death penalty in this case.

Ricky DuBose and Donnie Rowe appeared shackled and in prison uniforms during hearing in the Putnam County courthouse at 8:30 a.m. DuBose continued to look around the courtroom in what seemed like an attempt to see who was in attendance while Rowe continued to look straight forward at the judge the entire time.

They are both charged with murder in the deaths of officers Curtis Billue and Christopher Monica.
