SAVANNAH, Ga (WSAV) – Last night we brought you the story of what store employees say was vicious attack at a local nail salon. Some of the people involved say there’s more to that story.
It’s a Saturday night these two sisters will not forget any time soon.
“You let the situation escalate to a point where it didn’t need to get to at all.” Takeema Coney
Takeema Coney and Kierra Warner are the two women in the posh salon surveillance video fighting with employees. Since the news broke, they say the full story has not been told.
“She went back and she spit, and when she spit at my sister I pushed her.” says Warner.
Coney says she was unsatisfied with the work the stylist did. She asked for a refund but says they were told no. That escalated and Coney and her sister claim the woman with their money spit at them. Store owners have accused the sisters of stealing.
“Friends are not returning my phone calls they have been declining me and it hurts, a lot of people have turned their back on me because of this situation it’s really messed up,” Coney says.
We looked into the police report and it says no reports of robbery took place that Saturday night when the fight began.
“The way they are portraying us to be I am none of that, I am a wife, I’m mother of kids, I go to school and I work, I don’t have time to rob anybody especially not for a forty dollar nail service,” Warner adds.
The sisters say they have gone to metro police and given testimony about the altercation. Store owners deny the sisters’ version of events. Police tell News 3 they are still investigating.
