St. John Baptist Church marks its 11th year of creating a holiday moment of physical and spiritual support.
Hundreds stood in line to graciously accept a free bag of food for Thanksgiving.
Each person received a turkey, eggs, stuffing, peaches, rice, bread, macaroni, juice, and veggies. The giveaway is considered one way to bring encouragement.
“Especially on what’s going on with so many issues violence, racial tensions…that this
helps us understand that we have more similarities than we do differences. So it’s important for us to be able to come together,” explains Pastor George P. Lee III.
St. John’s Home Mission Ministry is responsible for putting together 500 meals.
