Savannah, GA (WSAV)- Travellers now have a quicker and less expensive way to get to the New York City area.
Allegiant has launched nonstop service to the Newark Liberty International Airport.
These flights will operate three times each week, some for as low as $59 according to airline representatives.
This is expected to give a boost to Savannah’s tourism industry.
“Savannah and Tybee Island are excited about welcoming visitors from the New Jersey/New York area and believe that they will find a unique and authentic destination that truly does appeal to all of their interests,” said Joseph Marinelli, president of Visit Savannah. “We are grateful for Allegiant’s continued expansion into our market.”
