Ready for Retirement: Long-time superintendent shares successes, challenges of tenure

After eleven years at the helm of the Savannah-Chatham County Public Schools System, Superintendent Dr. Thomas B. Lockamy, Jr. has announced that he’s retiring.

This, coming after news that the school system has surpassed the graduation rate in Georgia for the second year in a row and now equals the latest promoted national numbers.

He sits down with us to talk about some of his successes and challenges during his tenure.
