SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) – Thousands of Georgia children are waiting for adoption, maybe this month is the right time to open your home and your heart.

National Adoption Month is an initiative of the Children’s Bureau with a goal to increase national awareness and bring attention to the need for permanent families for children and youth in the U.S. foster care system. The initiative is supported through a partnership with Child Welfare Information Gateway and AdoptUSKids.org.
