The holidays are a special time of year when family and friends gather together to share and build rich traditions, home cooked meals, and gift exchanges. Unfortunately, not everyone in our area will experience these special moments.
To ensure that this does not happen, WSAV-TV, the Salvation Army, and the Bluffton Self-Help are joining forces again to bring “Holiday Hope” to Savannah and the Lowcountry, and the families and children in need.
In addition to providing toys to the children whose parents apply directly with BSH and Salvation Army, toys will be distributed to those non-profits that serve children, such as Deep Well on Hilton Head and the Department of Children Services in Savannah.
This holiday season, through the generosity of the community and the support of leading companies, children-in-need will be able to share in the joy and hope of the season.
In 2015, over 2,000 families and 5,000 children in the Coastal Empire and Low Country received the toys collected as a result of “Holiday Hope.”
