SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) – Savannah native Ashley Borders has been designing clothes as long as she can remember. Now she’s designing a dress for actress Kennedy Brice to wear when she walks the red carpet for the premiere of “Christmas of Many Colors.”
It’s the sequel to the 2015 film “Coat of Many Colors” based on a true story from country legend Dolly Parton’s childhood. Brice played a role in the original and is back in the sequel.
The dress is designed in inspiration of the #TurnItPink Foundation and the fight against breast cancer. Dr. Richard Greco founded #TurnItPink and reached out to Borders when Brice asked for the dress.
“Christmas of Many Colors” airs Wednesday, November 30th at 9 pm EST on WSAV.
Borders is also helping out with hurricane relief. This Friday, November 4th she’s throwing a Masquerade Ball from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Georgia State Railroad Museum.
Be there, dressed in your finest black tie attire for a glamorous evening to raise money for Savannah area victims of Hurricane Matthew. Food and drinks will be provided with your donation of $15 or more.
