Metro Police Search for suspect in two violent robberies

East Savannah (WSAV) —

Police believe the same man committed two violent robberies at two East Savannah convenience stores.

The suspect, dressed in a hoodie with a mask over his face, walked into a store in the 2000 block of Skidaway Road back in September, pulled out a gun, and robbed and shot a store clerk.

Then, last Friday, police believe the same robber hit another store in the 2000 block of Delesseps Avenue.

It was the same scenario, the suspect walked in, robbed the clerk and then shot him.

“What we’re hoping for is somebody notices a specific mannerism or a shape of a body, shape of a head or a certain way this person walks,” says Major Richard Zapal, Savannah Chatham Metro Police Department.

The victims in both shootings survived.

Police are advising store owners to conduct transactions through a window and also install video cameras.

If you have any information about these cases, call Crimestoppers.
