Holiday Hope toy drive officially begins

SAVANNAH, Ga. – The Holiday Hope toy drive is officially underway. The big kick-off event took place Wednesday evening.

Former University of Georgia head football coach, and athletic director, Vince Dooley gave some remarks at the annual Golden Kettle Gala.

It took place at the Plantation Club at the Landings. Dooley talked about how he’s seen the Salvation Army transform lives and applauded their efforts feeding and sheltering evacuees and first responders during the hurricane.

Families needing Holiday Hope assistance can start applying Monday at the Salvation Army on Bee Road in Savannah, or at the Bluffton self-help office in the Lowcountry.
