Voter registration ends today for Chatham Co, early voting underway

Voters Head To Polls On Super Tuesday

SAVANNAH, GA (WSAV/AP) – October 18 is the last day to register to vote in Chatham County after an extension was granted on the original October 11 date due to Hurricane Matthew.

You have until 5 p.m. today to register to vote in person at the Chatham Co. Board of Elections (1117 Eisenhower Drive). Be sure to bring your drivers license or a state-approved ID card.

You can also register by mail or online. The online deadline is midnight.

Those already registered can take advantage of early voting here in Georgia.

Counties began sending out mail-in absentee ballots in mid-September. People who want to vote by mail must request a ballot by Nov. 4. Kemp says it’s better to request those ballots well before the deadline.
