BLUFFTON, SC (WSAV) – The South Carolina Department of Insurance is hosting a Catastrophe Claims Center in Bluffton today, Wednesday, Oct. 12 and Thursday, Oct. 13 to help assist insurance owners with any questions and claims resulting from Hurricane Matthew. It will be help at the Bluffton Home Depot (20 Gateway Village Road Bluffton, S.C. 29910).
“We encourage anyone that has experienced property damage from the hurricane to come out to the center so that we may assist them in their claims process and help them recover as quickly as possible,” said Ray Farmer, Director of the South Carolina Department of Insurance.
The South Carolina Department of Employment and Workforce, FEMA and more major insurance companies will be on hand to answer questions. The South Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles will also have a mobile unit to provide credentials and duplicate titles or registration lost during the storm.
