More than 374K estimated without power in the Coastal Empire and Lowcountry

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) – Georgia Power, as of 5AM on October 9, is reporting 1,892 outages with a little over 204K impacted. They are Around 5,000 personnel from Georgia Power and assisting utilities are working to restore power following Hurricane Matthew. As of last night, these are the numbers of Georgia Power customers without power.

Chatham Co.- 116K

Glynn Co.- 36K

Effingham Co.-  22K

Liberty Co.- 9K

Bryan Co. and Camden Co.- 5K

Wayne Co. and McIntosh Co.- 4K

 

Georgia Electric Cooperative in SE Georgia is reporting more than 38K without power throughout southeast Georgia.

As of last night, these are the numbers of SCE&G customers without power:

Beaufort Co. 46,918

Colleton Co. – 11,028

Hampton Co.- 7,200

Jasper Co.- 6,681

 

As of last night, these are the numbers of Palmetto Electic Cooperative in South Carolina:

Beaufort Co.- 34,462

Colleton County- 8,599

Jasper Co.- 4,372

Hampton Co.- 3,305
