SCMPD investigating Stiles Avenue shooting


SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) – On Monday, October 3, Savannah-Chatham Metro Police Department responded to Memorial University Hospital where a shooting victim Freddie Holmes, 20, was seeking treatment for a non-life0threatening gunshot wound.

According to officials, Holmes was reportedly walking on Stiles Avenue near Gwinnett Street when shots were fired at him from a dark-colored vehicle. Holmes arrived at Memorial more than an hour later.

The Violent Crimes detectives of SCMPD are working to determine the shooting suspect’s identity.
