Savannah, GA (WSAV)- In a decision released Monday, the Georgia Supreme Court decides that administrative duties of Chatham County Recorder’s Court remain with Judge Tammy Stokes.
This effectively blocks Chatham County Clerk of Superior Court from taking over administration. The court’s decision was originally released on September 15th, but Clerk Daniel Massey filed a motion asking the court to reconsider.
Monday’s announcement upholds the original ruling.
This all follows months of back and forth with Chatham County over claims of mismanagement in Recorder’s Court.
