Meteorologist Kyle Dennis was born and raised in the suburbs of Philadelphia where his passion for weather began a very young age. After predicting a surprise snowstorm and an early dismissal from school in second grade, his reputation as the school weatherman began and stayed with him all the way through high school.
After obtaining a Bachelor’s Degree in Meteorology in 2009 from Millersville University of Pennsylvania, Kyle launched his career at a TV station in Davenport, Iowa where he forecasted weather for an array of local stations across the country. He joined Storm Team 3 in August 2016 after spending 5 years at WCBD, WSAV’s sister station in Charleston, South Carolina. While in Charleston, Kyle covered everything from tropical storms to ice storms to tornadoes to the historic flooding of 2015.
Outside of weather, Kyle is also an accomplished musician. He began taking piano lessons while in Kindergarten, and by sixth grade, was hired to play his first wedding. In 2005, Barry Manilow invited Kyle onstage to accompany him and his band at a concert in Las Vegas.
Kyle is thrilled to join Kim Gusby on WSAV’s Coastal Sunrise, Monday through Friday from 4:30 until 7 a.m. and during the Today Show.
