You can celebrate and explore science, technology, engineering and math in Statesboro this weekend — at Georgia Southern University’s STEMfest.

The free, fun-filled community event takes place Saturday, September 24, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., in the university’s Nessmith-Lane Center.

There will be more than 50 exploration stations providing hands-on activities for children of all ages including exploring robotics in action, making ice-cream with liquid nitrogen, launching Alka-seltzer rockets, and learning about the U.S. Environmental Pprotection Agency.
