Earlier today the Hurricane Hunters investigated Karl. With wind speeds of 40 mph and stronger gusts, Karl is back to tropical storm status.
As of 5:00 pm the storm was about 480 miles south-southeast of Bermuda. Karl is moving toward the northwest near 16 mph. The storm is expected to move toward the north on Friday, then towards the northeast on Saturday. Karl’s forecasted track takes the storm near the east of Bermuda this weekend.
Tropical Storm Karl is expected to gain strength over the next few days. Karl’s path keep the storm in the Atlantic waters, with no threat to the United States.
