STATESBORO, Ga. – Statesboro Police have arrested two of three suspects wanted for a robbery and aggravated assault against law enforcement Sunday night.
It happened around 11:00pm. Statesboro Police were called to an armed robbery in the Renaissance Apartments on Chandler Road. Officers with the Georgia Southern University Police Department also responded and located the suspects in the Chandler Heights Apartments and a foot chase began.
During the chase, officers say one of the suspects fired a gun at the officers though no one was hit. The bullet did damage a vehicle.
The suspects ran into a wooded area behind the apartment complexes and several agencies were called in to assist, including the Georgia State Patrol and the Bulloch County Sheriff’s Office. Eventually, two of the three suspects were found and arrested.
23-year-old Troy Randall of Statesboro and 23-year-old James Prescott of Millen are facing multiple charges including armed robbery and aggravated assault against a law enforcement officer.
Officers are still searching for the third suspect.
