Julia still milling around off the Georgia/South Carolina coast.
At 11pm, the center of the storm was about 190 miles east/southeast of Charleston, latitude 31.5 north, longitude 77.1 west. Julia is moving toward the east-southeast near 5 mph. A slow and erratic motion offshore of the coasts of South Carolina and North Carolina is expected during the next two days.
Maximum sustained winds remain near 40 mph with higher gusts. Little change in strength is forecast during the next 12 hours or so, but gradual weakening is anticipated thereafter.
