SAVANNAH, Ga. – One of Savannah’s most popular art events is getting ready to begin at the Telfair Museum’s Jepson Center.

The Tibetan Monks of Drepung Loseling Monastery will return to the Jepson Center to create the beautiful sand mandala in the Eckburg Atrium.

The Mandala is a sand painting that takes days to finish.  After its completion, the monks will destroy the sand painting and poor the sand into the Savannah River.
