Tropical Update: Sunday 11 am

Satellite data shows that the area of low pressure west-southwest of Bermuda has become a tropical depression. The National Hurricane Center predicts this storm will strengthen into a tropical storm, which would take the name Hermine.

The storm has winds of 35 mph and is moving west at 9 mph. A central pressure of 1009 mb has been recorded.

Part of the predicted path includes clipping the coast of North Carolina.
