Gaston has gained hurricane status again.
At 5 am, the center of Hurricane Gaston was about 600 miles east of Bermuda, latitude 30.1 north, longitude 54.6 west. Gaston is moving toward the northwest at 6 mph. The storm is expected to continue to slowly move toward the northwest tonight and then slowly towards the north/northeast on Monday.
Maximum sustained winds remain near 90 mph with higher gusts. Gaston is expected to strengthen in the next 48 hours, but still does not pose a threat to land.
