Regardless of development, heavy rains and strong winds are likely over Puerto Rico, Hispaniola, Turks and Caicos, and the Bahamas over the next few days.
There is a medium chance of development into a tropical cyclone in the next 48 hours. Some of the computer weather models have the storm travelling through the Bahamas and South Florida, before ending up in the Gulf of Mexico. Then it could turn north toward the East Coast, or continue west through the Gulf next week. There is still a lot of uncertainty with the track and strength of the storm.
