The American Heart Association – Southern Coast has announced its annual Heart Ball will be a vintage circus theme.
The big reveal was made at a party held at Jaguar Land Rover of Hilton Head, a main event sponsor, Thursday night.
In the past, the Heart Association has focused on Beaufort, Bluffton and Hilton Head, but leaders said Savannah is now being included in this event.
“Heart disease is still the number one killer of all Americans – men and women – and stroke is the number one long-term disability,” said Carla Raines, AHA development director. “So we have a lot of work yet to do.”
Raines said the kick-off event helps raise awareness about AHA’s mission and the ball helps pay for programs in the region.
Organizers are now seeking more sponsors for the ball. It will be held Saturday, February 4th at the Westin Resort on Hilton Head.
