LYONS, Ga. – The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is investigating the shooting death of a 67-year-old woman, whose husband was arrested for the crime.
Toombs County Deputies received a 911 call in the early morning hours of August 21st. 67-year-old Berdie Ann Poole told the 911 operator that she had been shot.
When deputies arrived at the home on Earnest Webber Road in Lyons, they found Mrs. Poole dead. Her husband, 71-year-old Jimmy Poole was also on scene and he was taken into custody and charged with murder.
Mrs. Poole’s body was sent to the Georgia Crime Lab for autopsy.
Jimmy Poole was denied bond at a hearing on Monday.
