Metro police and FBI investigate Savannah bank robbery

SAVANNAH, GA – (WSAV) Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department robbery detectives and Federal Bureau of Investigations agents search for a suspect accused of a bank robbery Tuesday afternoon. The bank robbery happened around 4:45pm at the bank located in the 100 block of Bull Street. Police say a black man wearing a white T-shirt under a white long sleeve shirt, dark-colored pants, a black curly wig and large-frame women’s sunglasses walked in to the bank and attempted to rob it. He fled the scene on foot, traveling west on York Avenue. Police say the suspect was approximately 6-feet tall, walked with a limp and had visible facial scarring.
