Pink is a color that everyone touched by breast cancer shares.
It’s part of the fabric that weaves us together.
Supporters celebrate the kickoff for Savannah’s first Glow The Mall Pink Midnight Madness 5k.
This is an opportunity for people of all ages to glow in awareness.
Those involved are counting on you.
“We wanna recognize the fact that there are a lot of survivors out there and honor their accomplishments. We also wanna make sure that the people that may not get involved the younger crowd they’re coming out and having a good time with us. Basically we’ve created enough different ways to help people have fun at the event so we can reach everybody and get as much awareness as we can,” explains Mark Vescio.
“It’s critically important that as you go down this journey and it is a journey that you have support around you, and when there’s time that you can support others that you do that,” says breast cancer survivor Sonia Kirkland.
Glow The Mall Pink Midnight Madness 5k is October 22nd at Oglethorpe Mall.
Proceeds from the event will benefit the Telfair Mammography fund at St. Joseph’s/Candler.
