(NBC New York) – A man is apparently trying to scale the all-glass face of Trump Tower.
NBC 4 cameras streaming live from the scene show police observing the man from an outdoor terrace.
A police spokeswoman said officers had responded to Donald Trump’s namesake midtown Manhattan skyscraper but had no further information.
The man is using large suction cups to try to grip his way up the glass surface. He appears to be well-equipped and prepared, with a harness and ropes, along with rope clips. He’s wearing a backpack, which he opened at one point to take out a white cap and put it on.
The 58-story midtown Manhattan building on East 56th Street is headquarters to the Republican presidential candidate’s campaign. He also lives there.
A campaign spokeswoman didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.
