Reneé LaSalle is so thrilled to be back in the Coastal Empire and the Lowcountry. She joined the WSAV News 3 Newsteam in June 2016 as the co-host of the new lifestyle show The Bridge. If you’re talking about it & it’s important to you, we’re talking about it too. Fashion, food, fun & the serious stuff too, nothing’s off limits.
Reneé’s been south of the Mason-Dixon Line since 2005 (except for a brief stint in Winter… Eww). Her stories have taken her from the front lines of drug corruption along the Mexican border, to helping a Human Trafficking survivor share her story for the first time and even witnessing history in the Edgar Ray Killen “Mississippi Burning” Civil Rights murder trial. But her favorite story is still the incredible spirit of rebuilding and pride along the Mississippi Coast after Hurricane Katrina.
The Ohio State graduate says having Christopher Reeve as her commencement speaker was especially poignant because four years earlier she broke the same two vertebrae that caused his paralysis.
Reneé is a featured National Anthem performer and has volunteered with Ronald McDonald House Charities since 2000.
As a preacher’s kid (PK for those in the know…) Reneé holds faith, family & friends very close. She enjoys spending time with people she loves, working out, eating good food, listening to live music, playing with her Yorkie and reading in her spare time.
Catch her column The Bridge each Monday in Savannah Morning News and listen for her weekday mornings giving you the headlines on Savannah’s Cumulus Radio Stations; e93fm, I-95 The Rock of Savannah, KIX96, 102.1 Nash Icon, News Talk 630 WBMQ & Magic 103.9.
