Ga. mother arrested after leaving children in pharmacy

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WJBF) – An Augusta mother is facing charges after her kids were left in a pharmacy.

Cassandra Mills was arrested after her 7-year-old twins were found alone at the CVS on Windsor Spring Road.

Deputies went to Mills’ home and found it full of roaches and smelling of urine and feces.

The 34-year-old is now charged with child deprivation, and the children were taken by DFACS.

They’re now in the care of a family friend.

Mills remains in the Webster detention center with a bond of $10,000.
