Teens deliver care gift to Salvation Army

Savannah’s Salvation Army received an outpouring of support today.
A group of teens made a special delivery to the Montgomery Street location.
Inside these boxes are flip flops for shelter clients.
The project called flip flop drop helps many at the shelter stay healthy.
“We’re helping the homeless, and it’s making a difference in our community. And by doing this others will be able to have a fresh start by taking a shower and really it’s increasing the health, explains Lily Kate Conneff.
This is the second year these teens held fundraisers to buy flip flops for the Salvation Army, and before summer ends they plan to provide soap and washcloths.
