Indictment dropped against trucking company involved in deadly I-16 crash

(Savannah, GA)- The trucking company involved in a fatal crash on I-16 last year is no longer under indictment.
Five Georgia Southern University nursing students were killed when a tractor-trailer failed to stop, hitting multiple cars on the interstate.
Total Transportation has started an educational non-profit in memory of the victims,
Emily Clark, Morgan Bass, Abbie DeLoach, Catherine “McKay” Pittman and Caitlyn Baggett.

District Attorney Tom Durden sites the move a reason for dismissing the indictment.
The case against the driver of the truck, John Wayne Johnson, still stands.
Johnson is due in court on July 16.
