SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) – SCMPD investigators identified the man shot and killed Thursday night.
Savannah Chatham Metro Police were called to the scene at 33rd Street and Atlantic Avenue where they found 32-year-old Theron Robbins lying in the road suffering from a gunshot wound.
Neighbors tell News 3 they heard at least two shots fired.
A large crowd of distraught family members, friends and neighbors gathered, begging officers for information.
At one point, officers had to hold the crowd back after several people began chasing a woman many claimed was involved in the shooting.
Investigators do not believe this was a random occurrence and are working to determine the circumstances that led to this incident. Detectives are also working to identify any suspects.
