Cucinotta’s relief of command comes three months after the death of Marine recruit Raheel Siddiqui and the the relief of Siddiqui’s training battalion commander Col. Joshua Kissoon. Officials have not said Cucinotta’s relief of command and Siddiqui’s death are related.
Cucinotta relieved Kissoon of command on March 31st.
