The Eisenhower location of Chatham County Health Department (1395 Eisenhower Drive) is hosting a free eye, ear, dental and nutrition screen for Chatham County school students. Those entering Georgia schools for the first time are required to have these screenings, so the opportunity for a no appointment necessary, free screening is a good one to get it done. Generally, there’s a $30 fee when getting screenings at the health department.
There will be three different days throughout the summer to have the screenings done. According to a release from Sally Silbermann, there will be three different days for the screenings. Listed are the days and times for them:
- 1-4 p.m., Monday, May 23
- 1-4 p.m., Wednesday, June 15
- 8:30-4 p.m., Wednesday, July 20
Students will be seen on a first come, first served basis.
