5pm Saturday Update on Tropical Depression Bonnie

Latest on Bonnie and the 5pm Saturday Forecast Track from the National Hurricane Center.

Bonnie is expected to weaken tonight to a remnant low and lose its tropical characteristics.

At 5 pm… the center of tropical depression Bonnie was about 185 miles north of Bermuda. The storm is moving to the east/southeast at 14 mph… and a east to east/southeast movement with a slight increase in forward speed is expected over the next day or two.

Maximum sustained winds are near 35 mph with higher gusts.

Minimum central pressure is 1008 mb.

No watches or warnings are in effect with Bonnie… and the storm is not going to affect our weather in the Coastal Empire and Low Country.
