11am Friday Update on Tropical Depression Bonnie

The latest on Bonnie and its forecast track.

Bonnie continues to move away from the coast of North Carolina late this morning… into the colder waters east of the Gulf Stream.

As of 11am… the depression is about 200 miles E/NE of Cape Hatteras, North Carolina.  Maximum sustained winds are at 35mph… and the storm is moving to the east and increased its forward motion to 12 mph.

The minimum pressure has risen to 1007 mb.

There are no coastal watches or warnings in effect.

Dangerous surf is diminishing on the North Carolina coast… including the Outer Banks.

Bonnie is forecast to degenerate to a post-tropical low by Saturday.
