SAVANNAH, GA (WSAV) – The Chatham-Savannah Counter Narcotics Team (CNT) arrested two men Thursday morning following an undercover operation. CNT agents arrested 39-year-old Terrance “Playa Slim” Scott of Savannah, and 26-year-old Curtis Singleton of Lithonia, Georgia at the Econo Lodge located at 7500 Abercorn Street. Police say they had planned on catching Scott selling cocaine to an undercover CNT agent. Before the sale occurred, agents saw Singleton arrive at the hotel, put a firearm in his waistband and purchase marijuana from Scott. As agents tried to make contact with Scott, he tried to grab a gun from one of the agents. Scott was subdued with a Taser and taken into custody. Agents arrested both men. Two firearms and controlled substances were seized during the operation. Singleton was charged with a felony weapon charge and misdemeanor drug charge. Scott was charged with numerous felonies to include Criminal Attempt Sale of a Controlled Substance (Cocaine), Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon and Removal or Attempted Removal of a Weapon from a Public Official. Both men are being held at the Chatham County Detention Center and are expected to be arraigned tomorrow in the Recorder’s Court of Chatham County.
