Three people accused of armed robbery at large in Beaufort County

BEAUFORT COUNTY, Sc. (WSAV) – Beaufort County Sheriff’s Deputies are searching for three people accused of robbing the Food Lion off Shanklin Rd in Burton.

The sheriff’s office was called to the scene at about 11 p.m. Wednesday when a burglary alarm went off inside the grocery store.

On their way, the security alarm company advised emergency dispatchers the employees of the store were being held up by three male subjects at gunpoint.

As the deputies arrived the subjects fled the store and ran into the woods, a search for the suspects using K-9 Units was not successful.

The suspects are described as a three black males; the first was wearing a a black t-shirt with dark colored pants and a gray shirt wrapped around his head, the second was wearing a gray sweatshirt, blue jeans with blue gloves and a black mask, and the third was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and dark colored pants with yellow gloves and a black mask.

No one was injured in the incident, all of the suspects are considered armed and dangerous.
