Free mammograms for low income women

Early detection saves lives.
This is especially true for breast cancer.
Mammograms may seem impossible for women without insurance, but that’s not true.
The Chatham County Health Department and St. Joseph’s/Candler Mobile Mammography Program will offer free mammograms tomorrow for uninsured women.
Those who qualify for the no cost mammograms are age 40 and older, have no health insurance, and must live at or below the poverty level.
The free mammograms will be provided tomorrow from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Chatham County Health Department on Eisenhower drive. Appointments are encouraged, but walk-ins are welcome, and to make an appointment, call: (912)-819-6800.
