Savannah students learn the art of saving money during ‘Teach Children to Save Day’ workshop

When you think of money and the month of April, tax day usually comes to mind. But April is also ‘National Literacy Month.’

Friday, April 29, on ‘Teach Children to Save Day,’  Wells Fargo Personal Banker Katherine Roberts will visit students at Jenkins High School to help them learn about budgeting, identifying needs versus wants, and saving.

According to the Council for Economic Education, the number of U.S. states that require high school students to take a course in personal finance remains unchanged since 2014 at 17.
