Savannah man shot while walking home with children, police say

SAVANNAH, Ga. – SCMPD Violent Crimes detectives are investigating a shooting in the 600 block of Draper Street in Kayton Homes.

Police say 37-year-old Marvin Brannen was walking home with two children around 1:45pm Monday when he was approached by 26-year-old Rodney Dailey.

A fight broke out between the two and one of the two men pulled out a handgun.  It went off and hit Brannen who went to Memorial with non-life threatening injuries.  Medical staff called the police to report the shooting.

Detectives are actively seeking the whereabouts of Dailey, who is currently wanted for questioning in reference to this shooting. The incident remains under investigation.
