Savannah, GA (WSAV) – Ellis Square was packed with pink Saturday morning for the Susan G Komen Race for the Cure.
The race celebrates cancer survivors and honors those who lost their battle with breast cancer, and survivors say it also serves as a reminder for women everywhere to get their exams.
“I was 32 when I got it,” said survivor Amber Black. “You just never know. It’s very important.”
According to their website, this year’s race raised nearly $200,000.
