SCCPSS Gets the Family involved during weekend event for students

SAVANNAH, GA (WSAV-TV) –  Savannah-Chatham public schools hosted its second family involvement day.

The event showcases several Savannah Chatham public schools and options to careers and colleges after school. The school system hosts the event this spring while many families are readying for graduations or transitions from one grade to another.

“We offered opportunities for students to, students and families to prepare for college by completing college applications on site and also working on their financial aid forms that are pretty scary do we had hands on help for parents who wanted to do that as well this morning,” says SCCPSS chief academic affairs officer Dr. Ann Levett.

The event also hosted seminars for parents on reducing summer sly or the slump in learning while their kids our out on summer break.
